For the first trip in our new Coachman Laser Xcel 875 Twin Axle Caravan, we decided to visit the enchanting Manor Farm Lakes, a caravan site nestled near Biggleswade. If you are a keen fisherman you can immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and fantastic fishing opportunities that await you.
Immerse yourself in Nature
Manor Farm Lakes offers a truly immersive experience, set amidst six beautiful lakes in more than one hundred acres, the camping/caravan field overlooks and is surrounded by serene lakes, and is a haven for fishermen and nature lovers. You will wake up to the melodious chirping of birds and see many muntjacs, pheasants, and other natural wildlife wandering by. The site is dog friendly (on a lead) and day visitors can be pre-booked in advance.
Whether you're an avid fisherman, a birdwatcher, a wildlife enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, Manor Farm Lakes will captivate your senses and leave you with great memories.

For fishing enthusiasts, Manor Farm Lakes offers excellent opportunities to indulge in your favourite past time. The lakes are teeming with fish, making it a paradise for anglers. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned angler, the well-stocked lakes and tranquil surroundings provide the perfect setting for days (and nights) of fishing.

One of the highlights of Manor Farm Lakes is the countryside that surrounds the site, allowing you to take a leisurely stroll or bike ride through the countryside. The ambiance and serene beauty makes Manor Farm Lakes an ideal getaway for those seeking peace and tranquility (although it must be noted this is tempered a little by the noise of the traffic on the nearby A1 and the passing trains)
Convenient Automated Entry System
Upon arrival, Manor Farm Lakes boasts a convenient automated entry system, ensuring a hassle-free check-in for all caravan site guests and fisherman. You can easily access the site with your registration details, received in advance by email and start enjoying your stay without any delays or complications. A barcoded ticket is provided for your stay to allow you to enter/exit the park at your leisure, although it must be noted late arrivals to the campsite are guided to a nearby onsite car park. Vehicle movements are restricted after 9pm.
Considerations for a Perfect Stay
Whilst Manor Farm Lakes offers many positive aspects, it's important to consider a few factors for a perfect stay. The toilet and shower facilities are basic, so if you prefer more luxurious amenities, it's advisable to come prepared, or stay elsewhere. This did not affect our stay as our caravan includes a luxurious bathroom.
The pitches offer EHU, with a nearby water tap shared between two pitches, so you will need to have water and waste barrels available. An Elsan point is located next to the toilet / shower shed.
It's worth noting that there is noise from the nearby A1 road and passing trains, although at night this becomes much less. The overall beauty of the site more than make up for these minor inconveniences.
If you're looking for an affordable caravan site, Manor Farm Lakes is an excellent choice. Just be prepared for basic facilities and some background noise, and you'll be rewarded with a great experience in nature's embrace. And if you are a fisherman, then none of the above will bother you too much as you will be focused on enjoying the fishing in the fantastic selection of lakes.
